It’s 2025, and most of us like to write down a few goals. When it comes to fitness, you want to ensure these goals are attainable. You don’t want them to be too easy, but also not unreachable. One to three goals are a good number to work with anymore, but it can be overwhelming.
You then want to list what you will do to achieve that goal. For example, if your goal is to be active five days a week, you would list steps to achieve this. Ideas could include setting out your workout clothes the night before, setting your alarm, and telling someone close to you to keep you accountable.
Another idea is to give yourself some targets to hit before the actual goal. If your goal is to be active five times a week regularly by June 30, 2025, you might set a three-month goal for March 31st that you will be active three times a week by then. Then for the next three months, you go to five times a week. If you go all out in the beginning, there is a chance you will make it much harder for yourself. I always suggest starting small, making small changes first and then slowly building.
Having someone keep you accountable is a great idea. When you tell someone, they will be able to check on you and you can check in with them.
Here’s to reaching all your goals and going big this 2025.
