I can’t say no to a good smoothie, it’s refreshing, packed with healthy goodness and it’s a great healthy treat on a hot summer day. For those of you who have a harder time eating your greens, smoothies are a great way to hide those veggies. If you have a Vitamix or a Ninja I recommend using of those appliances as they do a better job of mixing. To add in protein, I use hemp hearts or Greek yoghurt.
Here are some of my favourites:
Green Goodness
Kale
Bananas
Water
Spirulina (only a teaspoon or it will overpower)
Greek yoghurt or almond milk
Oranges
Berry Blast
Frozen berries (your choice)
Bananas
Greek yogurt
Water (this help thin it out a little)
Chocolate Banana
Bananas
2 tbsp peanut butter
Your choice of milk (cow, almond or oat)
¼ c cocoa (use an organic brand)
