I wasn’t sure what to write in lieu of the upcoming Mother’s Day celebration. It can be joyful for some and full of sorrow for others. If you have carried life, raised littles to big, taken on any sort of mothering responsibilities, you are a MOMMA.
Dear Momma,
You are the strength and glue that keeps our family together. The simple things in life that we did will be the ones I remember the most. Thank you for blowing bubbles when I couldn’t, reading story after story, answering all my questions, and playing all our silly games. You plan the best trips. I know the nights were late for you and Dad because we were so excited to sleep in the same bed, but you made it fun for us, and I am forever grateful. Your prayer over my life before I went into school, your daily affirmations that I would stand up for myself and others, it made me strong. Thank you for not stopping because your words are what got me through each day. Thank you for taking care of yourself, because it allowed you to take better care of me. I know you worked the day shift, the night shift and every in-between shift, but all I can say is thank you. Your selflessness showed me your strength and your genuine love for me. You are my superhero. You taught me to love with my whole heart, to love others, respect and care for everyone I meet in life. There are so many things I am thankful for that you have done for me. I want you to know that I see how much you do, in a season when most people don’t see you, I notice. I know you will reap what you have sown. You are the best Momma, never let anyone tell you different. Remember Mom, I was the first to hear your heartbeat.
Love your child
