Stress less over the holidays

No Stress – All Fun this Holiday Season

Stress less over the holidays

The holidays are almost upon us, and I am sure some of you are feeling the hustle and bustle. I don’t like that many seem to feel stressed during the end-of-year holidays. It truly should feel like the most wonderful time of the year. Read on to find my best tips to stress less this Holiday season.

  1. Say No – Topping off the top of my list is being able to say no. This helps you not get run down, have the kids in a craze, and it helps you feel some balance in your life. It’s okay to say no and not have multiple things in one day. You need to prioritize and figure out which things are the most important that your family needs to say yes to.
  2. Make a to-do list – Making a list will help you stay on top of things, give you some organization and allow you to see what needs to get done. You could even put which items need to get done on specific days.
  3. Take time for yourself – Don’t forget yourself. You still need good sleep; you need to exercise and take some time to just be quiet. Have a bath, read a book, and/or watch your favourite Holiday movie. My best advice is to wake up before the kids, the 5 am club is the best time to enjoy time for yourself to move, read, stretch, and enjoy a cup of coffee.
  4. Don’t leave everything until the last minute – This one kind of goes with number two but prioritizing what needs to get done will help you not get frazzled when you only have a few days left. Wouldn’t it feel nicer to have the last few days before Christmas quiet ones?
  5. Shop early – Shop early and avoid the weekends. I don’t prefer to shop when there are long lines, and you can’t find a parking spot. I suggest arriving at the mall very early or late. For those who don’t like crowds, you can shop online and even have your packages ready for pick-up at the store.

I hope this helps you stress a little less this Holiday Season. I wish you and your families a very Merry Christmas and all the best in 2025.
